City Council Chair Katrice MacKay
Katrice MacKay is the chair of the Provo City Council. The City Council establishes laws, sets policy, and oversees the budget for the city of Provo. She feels that Provo is one of the best cities in the country for quality of life, family, and regional economy. Chair MacKay is one of two City-Wide representatives for Provo and is passionate about keeping Provo the best place to live, work, and play.
Chair MacKay is a Provo native who attended Edgemont Elementary, Farrer Middle School, Timpview High School, and graduated from the BYU Marriott School of Business. Chair MacKay spent several years out of Utah, working for Gap Corporate in the Bay Area and working in advertising in Seattle. Chair MacKay returned to Provo to be near family and to be in the place that she loves with her husband and four children.
Chair MacKay is deeply passionate about volunteer work and has volunteered in various capacities throughout her life - including the rape crisis line, rape counseling, hospice, church service and the PTA/PTO. Now she is serving the wider community of Provo.
