Great Utah ShakeOut

Be Ready Utah holds an annual event to remind people to prepare for earthquakes and to allow individuals, companies, and organizations to practice earthquake drills. The Great Utah ShakeOut website has information on the event as well as a wealth of resources for those interested in participating.

Provo's Emergency Notification System

In the event of a real emergency, we would activate our emergency alert system to notify residents. This system enables us to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, law enforcement activity, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.

When we issue a notification about a potential safety hazard or concern, you will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods that you have registered, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more.
