Council meeting agendas are often difficult for people to navigate. Filled with jargon and legal requirements on how an item must be listed, it can be a challenge to determine what Council members are actually discussing or deciding on.

New Timeline for Hearing Land Use Items
Council recently passed some changes to the procedures for land use applications. These were based on recommendations from the Development Approval Process Review Committee and should streamline the process for land use applications. When an application is ready to be heard by the Planning Commission, it is listed on the Commission's agenda, along with a date for when it will be heard at a Council meeting. The infographic below illustrates this process and identifies where the public can contribute their input.
