Officer Appreciation Lunch

To celebrate National Law Enforcement Week, one of Provo's Neighborhood Chairs organized a lunch in Pioneer Park for police officers and their families as well as Neighborhood Chairs and their families.

Beth Alligood, Lakeview North Neighborhood Chair, coordinated with Janna-Lee Haigh from the Community Oriented Policing (COP) Program to bring everyone together.

Beth and other Chairs and Vice-Chairs from neighborhoods around the city contributed food and drinks and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know some of the officers a little better. Some neighborhoods regularly invite a police officer, usually the COP for their area, to neighborhood meetings to report on trends and to advise residents on crime prevention.

We appreciate Provo's police force for all they do to keep us safe. Many thanks also go to all the great volunteers who serve in Provo's Neighborhood Program.
